Determination of Cannabinol - Pharmacologically, the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the most widely used illegal psychoactive drug in the United States. THC is only one of 400 compounds in the plant, including other cannabinoids, such as cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabinol (CBN). Consumption of cannabis has both psychoactive and physiological effects. The minimum amount of THC required to have a perceptible psychoactive effect is about 10 micrograms per kilogram of body weight. Although THC is typically considered the primary active component of the cannabis plant, various scientific studies suggest that certain other cannabinoids, like CBD, may also play a significant role in its psychoactive effects. For this reason, its precise recognition and quantification is fundamental.

The Agilent/HP 6890 series GC features electronic pneumatic control of all gas pressures and flows. On board sensors automatically compensate for ambient temperature changes and barometric pressure differences to routinely achieve more accurate and reproducible results. By providing stable results, EPC reduces re-calibration frequency and improves laboratory productivity.

NEW Automatic Liquid Sampler for GC Systems - 121 Positions

The system is fully self-contained and can be easily installed on all the GC and GC/MS systems available in the market, because of flexibility and modular configuration.
