What's Potency Testing?

The acceptable limit of heavy metals are measured in the range of parts per million (ppm) per gram for many states. Check your state's regulations to see the concentration levels for hazardous heavy metals such as Cadmium (Cd), Arsenic (As), Lead (Pb) and Mercury (Hg).

AA detection limits are in the parts per million range. Atomic absorption is typically a single-element technique, measuring only one element at a time, leading to a longer analyses time.

ICP Heavy Metals Cannabis Testing

For testing heavy metals ICP-MS provides parts per billion (ppb) detection limits. Unlike an AA, ICP-MS can measure all elements simultaneously at once, this results shorter analyses time. ICP instruments on average cost more than AA.
