What you are buying
A refurbished HP/Agilent 7694 headspace autosampler. It samples the vapor above the sample for volatile analysis and runs unattended sequences from a 44-vial tray.
Every unit moves through the GenTech Certified process. What Agilent says about this platform
The 7694 automates static headspace sampling for up to 44 samples without operator attention, loading six vials at a time from the tray into a circular aluminum carousel. Three heated zones, the vial oven, the sample loop, and the transfer line, condition the sample before injection, with a setpoint range of 40 to 200 degrees Celsius. GC cycle time runs from 1 to 999 minutes. The sampler stores up to four methods and increments run parameters automatically to speed method development. It draws up to 10 headspace extractions from a single vial and offers two levels of vial agitation to speed equilibration. An inert flow path from the vial to the GC column head limits sample absorption. Agilent designed the 7694 for HP 5890 series and Agilent 6890 series GCs. The manual warns against using hydrogen as a carrier gas in the 7694.

What “GenTech Certified” means
Refurbishment at GenTech is a defined process, not a wipe-down. Every system moves through the same five stages.
1. Disassembly and rebuild. Solution Scientists strip the instrument down, clean each module inside and out, and rebuild it from the frame up. They replace pump seals, pistons, and check valves to specification.
2. Configuration and new parts. Solution Scientists install the options and modules you selected and fit new wear parts throughout. They replace the detector lamp with a new one and reset the lamp hours.
3. Diagnostic and performance testing. Solution Scientists tune and calibrate the instrument, run system diagnostics, and confirm detector wavelength accuracy. They test full-system pressure and gradient performance against OEM and published benchmarks using known reference chemicals.
4. Data package you approve before shipment. The verification data goes to you for approval before the system leaves the bench. You see exactly how the instrument performs before it ships.
5. Delivery and installation. The instrument ships in protective packing with a one-year warranty option and professional installation available from a GenTech Solution Scientist.
