The DAD reads across the UV-visible range for peak identification and purity confirmation. The MCT holds up to four columns under precise temperature control, which makes method switching easier. The pump in this stack includes Agilent’s Intelligent System Emulation Technology (ISET). Labs can use this technology to program the system to reproduce the gradient behavior of other HPLCs that they are already using; this means that the system will produce the same retention times and peaks with existing methods and that labs (especially regulated ones) can move or replicate methods without necessitating a full validation.
