The standard ion source runs electron ionization with a noncoated, proprietary inert design; optional positive and negative chemical ionization extend the range of compounds the instrument can confirm. Mass range covers 10 to 1,050 m/z, with dual filaments for EI and electron energy from 10 to 300 eV.
