What Agilent says about this platform

Agilent built the G2258A around two preinstalled sample loops of different volume, letting an operator switch between preparative and analytical scale work without a hardware change. Partial loop filling injects any volume up to the loop’s capacity; complete loop filling centers the sample and leaves equal excess plugs at both ends of the loop. The injection range runs 0.1 to 5000 microliters in 0.1-microliter steps, with viscosity handling from 0.2 to 5 centipoise. The metering syringe sits outside the solvent flow path from pump to column. A separate flush solvent bottle rinses that part of the hydraulic path after each injection. The sample tray holds up to two well plates, vial plates, or tube plates in any combination. A thermostatted version adds the G1330B thermostat for temperature-sensitive samples. ChemStation, the Control Module G1323B, or the Instant Pilot G4208A controls the sampler. Early Maintenance Feedback keeps an electronic record of maintenance and errors.
