The Emerald Conference is a must-attend event for cannabis scientists. Established 7 years ago, it is the “original, longest running interdisciplinary cannabis science event” and is designed for “decision-makers in analytical testing, extraction science, research and development, cultivation science, formulations, and pre-clinical research.” This year’s conference will be held in San Diego, February 27 – March 1, 2022.

GenTech has attended The Emerald Conference in the past, pre-pandemic, and we’re looking forward to attending again in person. As well, we’ve attended MJBizCon as recently as last fall and we’ll be attending again this year. (MJBiz produces the Emerald Conference, as it’s now connected to Emerald through recent acquisitions[1],[2].) But given our own recent announcement about GenTech Scientific and Conquer Scientific joining forces under parent Purity Scientific – this year’s Emerald Conference is especially exciting for us since it will be our first joint conference.

Yvette Pagano, CCO for both GenTech and Conquer, put it this way: “This is our debut event as the combined GenTech Scientific and Conquer Scientific.  Both companies have invested tremendous resources to support scientists in the emerging cannabis, hemp, and psychedelic start up lab space, whether it is refurbished instruments, service and repair, method development or troubleshooting. With the Emerald Conference and Conquer Scientific both located in San Diego, we are excited for the opportunity to connect with both local laboratories and our international audience.“

One product focus at the GenTech/Conquer booth will be our new Cannabis Potency Package, which now includes the method and SOP. Stop by Booth 209 to talk with any of our knowledgeable staff about this or other instrument options for your cannabis testing laboratory.
