In today’s Tech Tip Tuesday video, we demonstrate, step-by-step, how to vent (shut down) an Agilent 5975 MSD with 7890 GC.

Transcript:

  1. After you pump down, open MSD Chemstation.
  2. Under the Vacuum menu, select “Vent.”
  3. Under View in the menu, make sure “Instrument Control” is checked.
  4. While still under the View menu, select “Tune and Vacuum Control.”
  5. Go back to the Vacuum menu, select “Vent.”
  6. Vent cycle will begin and a “Vent Cycle in Progress” message screen will appear.
  7. Once the venting process has completed a new message will appear on screen: Agilent 5975 MSD system vented.
