In today’s Tech Tip Tuesday video, we demonstrate, step-by-step, how to vent (shut down) an Agilent 5975 MSD with 7890 GC.
Transcript:
- After you pump down, open MSD Chemstation.
- Under the Vacuum menu, select “Vent.”
- Under View in the menu, make sure “Instrument Control” is checked.
- While still under the View menu, select “Tune and Vacuum Control.”
- Go back to the Vacuum menu, select “Vent.”
- Vent cycle will begin and a “Vent Cycle in Progress” message screen will appear.
- Once the venting process has completed a new message will appear on screen: Agilent 5975 MSD system vented.
